What started as a mere dream to educate those with no access to education now stands tall as a beacon of hope and brighter opportunities for children across the surrounding villages.
It All Started with One Man's Promise to himself.
20 years ago, in a quiet corner of rural Pakistan, A man named Siraj Ahmed made a promise to himself to serve his people.
After an honorable and decorated career in the military, Brig. Siraj Ahmed returned to his native village, Thoha Bahadur, not to enjoy retirement, but to rebuild its future.
His love for his native land and people was so strong that he gave up his luxurious city life to educate the poor village kids
He could’ve chosen ease. Instead, he chose impact.
Driven by the belief that education is the greatest gift one can give, he decided to turn his ancestral land into a school. Not just any school, but a place where underprivileged children could dream, learn, and lead.
This is not a story of a school, but a story of how the education, vision, and passion of one person changed the future of thousands of families….
From One Room to a Movement
Brig. Siraj Ahmed named Amna Montessori and High School in honor of his daughter, Amna Siraj, a brilliant student with an unshakable love for learning.
Now a finance consultant at an international firm, Amna’s journey is a shining example of what quality education can achieve. Her name represents not just personal pride, but Brig. Siraj’s bigger dream, to see every child from his village rise, succeed, and thrive just like his daughter.
Even before the school building was completed, Brig. Ahmed began classes from his own home, A testament to his resolve that education could not wait.
The school began humbly. a few students, limited resources, and no roadmap But what it did have was heart. A relentless spirit. And a community ready to rise.
The region lacked qualified teachers willing to move to a remote village, but this obstacle didn’t stop Brig Sahab from achieving his goal.
He reached out to professionals from bigger cities inspiring them to join the mission.
When sustainability became uncertain, he initiated local teacher training programs, empowering women and youth in the village itself.
AMHS didn’t just educate students, it built a culture of learning, dignity, and leadership in a place where all three were once out of reach.

Today, AMHS is led and run by an all-women team.
From school administration to classroom instruction, the school has become a powerful symbol of female leadership in rural Pakistan.

A Family Legacy That Lives On
Brig. Siraj’s mission didn’t end with him.
It evolved.
His eldest daughter stood beside him from the very beginning, dedicating herself to the school’s day-to-day growth.
After his passing, Mrs. Siraj Ahmed, his wife, stepped up to carry forward the mission of her beloved husband. carrying the torch with grace and grit.
Backed by a dedicated staff, a passionate family, and a supportive community, AMHS has spent nearly two decades transforming lives.
What started as a single classroom has since expanded into one of the most respected educational institutions in the area, igniting the potential of thousands of underprivileged students.

After the death of Brig. Siraj , his wife Mrs. Kaniz Fatima took charge to lead the educational movement he started. Under Mrs. Kaniz Fatima’s visionary leadership, AMHS has blossomed into a nurturing and innovative learning environment. Her wealth of experience in educational leadership has been instrumental in driving the school’s mission forward, ensuring every student’s success and well-being.

With 18 years of dedicated service, Nabila is more than a school’s Principal, she’s the heart and soul of AMHS.
